Citizen journalism with public presentation and workshop in Gostivar

CIVIL – Center for Freedom will promote citizen journalism, as a new and innovative way of fighting for freedom of informing and reporting, tomorrow, June 9, at the City Square of Gostivar, starting at 19.30, through video projections, music and conversations with citizens. Before that, about a dozen citizens from Gostivar will have the opportunity to be a part of the big family of citizen journalists, through an interactive workshop on citizen journalism.

Following the theoretical part of the training, citizen journalists will have practical work with recording video stories, taking photos, conducting surveys…, after which there will be an evaluation of their work.

CIVIL invites all interested citizens to take active participation in creating political and social changes at the local and central level.

CIVIL’s team will be available at the event for all questions by those present, who at the same time can learn about the conditions for participating in the awarding cycles for citizen journalism, and get to know more about CIVIL’s activities within the “Civic Lenses” project.

For more information related to the project and the activities of citizen journalists, like the Facebook page Citizen.Journalists.МК and visit the website www.clp.mk.

The “Civic Lenses” project is supported by National Endowment for Democracy.
