CIVIL – Center for Freedom continues with the successful workshops on citizen journalism across the country. On Saturday, in Kavadarci, a dozen young citizens had the opportunity to participate in the workshop and to directly learn about citizen journalism, a worldwide trend that is slowly, but surely, winning over the media space.
Through practical examples that have created social and political changes, young people in Kavadarci had the opportunity to hear and to talk with representatives of CIVIL and to learn how through their own activities they can have an influence in improving the situation in the society, both at the local and national level.
Following the theoretical part, participants will have a chance for practical work in Kavadarci and for applying the technological benefits in preparing video and photo contributions, as well as surveys on current local problems. The most successful contributions will be published on the “Civic Lenses” website.
Interested citizens have at their disposal several resources for training in the area of citizen journalism, such as the Civic Lenses website and the Facebook Page Citizen Journalists of Macedonia.
The workshop is part of the Civic Lenses project and is supported by National Endowment for Democracy.
