If we, the citizens, do not solve our problems, the politicians will not solve them...

At the second two-day workshop of the second cycle of the “Civic Lenses” project, which organized by CIVIL – Center for Freedom was held in Veles, participants divided in several groups participated in lectures, but also in a practical part – workshop on citizen journalism and recording footage on the streets of Veles. CIVIL Media today is publishing the material of citizen journalists Loreta Petrovska, Nikoletka Paneva and Vlatko Cekov, who spoke with a farmer from the Valandovo village of Udovo on the difficulties farmers growing vegetables face in promoting their products on the market, on the subsidies, on the lack of possibilities for exporting them in neighboring countries, on the distrust in politicians…

“It’s better to have the goods sold, than to have subsidies be given to us, we do not need subsidies. If the goods are sold, I will be making money, but this way, there is no use…About the politicians? Who should we trust, I do not trust anyone anymore! We all know, they all lie, as soon as they take their seats. Citizens can do something, why not? We can…If we the citizens do not solve them, they will not solve them, regardless of the party…”, says the citizen journalists’ interlocutor.
