The editor-in-chief of Iris TV, Vojo Manevski, at the panel discussion "Census: Statistics, not politics" in Shtip emphasized that we as a society are recognizable for making judgments before something starts and before it ends.
"Statistics cannot be a philosophy. It must not be politicized. Census results must be policies in order to create programs and policies.
As an example, according to viewer statistics from the 2002 census, a concession is being paid. As a medium we do not have accurate data on how many viewers we have. We do not know whether we need 120 MPs, or 16 ministers. All these policies will depend on the results of the census.
As media we have an obligation to convey real information about the census. It is a necessity, everything else is manipulation and fake news. "Macedonia will need to change, it will not be the same after the census," said Manevski.
