The councilor from VMRO-DPMNE, Hristina Serafimovska at the CIVIL panel "Census: Statistics yes, politics no":
- My position is generally known, and we can never meet with the position. Everyone sticks to their position. There is no desire for communication and understanding. We have said we are not against the census, but the government always says we are against it. A census is needed, we are all fighting for a census. As if it is not clear to the public or as if it is being deliberately abused. Should there be a census for census or a census to get real numbers? There will be a good part of the population that will not be counted for various reasons. We do not call directly for the boycott but we want to invest in the correction of the anomalies and to invest in a real census, the government is not doing anything to instill confidence. We must admit that for so many victims and patients, it would be logical for someone not to allow the commission to go inside and register. Carovska forbids training clubs in school halls, because she does not guarantee that the next day when there will be classes, there will be no transmission of the virus. There are individuals who do not want to be counted on every census. The anomaly is in the diaspora where there is not enough information. A good number of countries have not provided any census information at all, and people have already dropped out of the census. The government does not allow delays of at least a few months, even a year. What will change a few months or a year when we have not had a census for 20 years.
