"The census should be held because it is extremely important for the country. We have not conducted a census for 20 years and we do not know the exact numbers. In the census region 11 are the municipalities of Gevgelija and Dojran with which we have excellent cooperation and have provided us with all necessary working conditions, says Kata Ristova, head of the municipality of Gevgelija, at the panel discussion of CIVIL in Gevgelija "Census: Statistics, not politics."
"According to the last census from 2002, these two municipalities have about 25 thousand inhabitants, but whether we will have so many inhabitants now will show this census that will be conducted now.
These two municipalities need 88 enumerators, and more than 100 people have registered.
So far, all protocols and recommendations for protection against Covid 19. have been followed. In the future, all enumerators will strictly adhere to the measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
"This year there will be no pens, pencils and paper for inventory, but this inventory will be conducted through laptops," said Ristova.
