A group of around a hundred fans (“Komiti”) were shouting “A Dead Shiptar (Albanian), a good Shiptar” on the Macedonia Square on Saturday, March 17.
The group headed towards the Skopje football stadium, to the football match between Vardar and Renova.
The recording was sent to CIVIL by a citizen journalist who wanted to remain anonymous. Questions remain open as to whether the football club, whose fans use explicit hate speech, will stay reserved and whether the MOI and the SPO will take appropriate legal sanctions.
